Mississauga
Animal Rescue Service
M.A.R.S. has excellent health care and screens all
their cats for Feline Leukemia and F.I.V. (Feline
AIDS) as well as providing vaccinations, spay,
neuter, etc. They have a lot more cats and kittens
than are pictured on the website.
Mississauga
Humane Society
Relies solely on donations and volunteers with all
donations going to the care of rescued animals
which includes spaying/neutering, vet visits,
kennel fees, advertising fees etc. A portion of the
donations will be reserved for the establishment of
a haven/shelter.
Project Jessie
Project Jessie is a rescue network for lost, stray and abandoned
cats and dogs in pounds where they are vulnerable to
being sold for research. We also take older animals,
medically needy animals, and animals that need socialization
or have other challenges. We work in cooperation with
many groups and dedicated volunteers to rescue the animals,
get them appropriate veterinary care, shelter them and
then find them permanent, loving homes.
